In 2008, Euromedic Ireland acquired Charelmont Imaging, a diagnostic centre established in 1987 by Dr Gerard Hurley and Dr David McInerney. Euromedic Charlemont is now a multimodailty diagnostic imaging facility centrally located in the Charlemont Clinic on the banks of Dublin’s Grand Canal.

Euromedic Charlemont provides a full range of diagnostic imaging services. It is home to the south of Ireland’s only completely open MRI. An open MRI machine enables radiographers to scan a wider variety of patients, including those who are claustrophobic or obese. It also provides a consultant led ultrasound service.

Make An Appointment

Ultrasound, MRI, CT and OPG are by appointment only. X-rays are available as a walk-in service with a doctor’s referral letter.

To make an appointment you will need to get a referral letter from your doctor, or ask your doctor to fill out one of Euromedic Ireland’s referral forms:

Your doctor will be able to advise you what sort of scan is suitable for your condition.

* Euromedic Ireland will accept referral letters for MRI from physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors. However, you will need to ensure this is acceptable to your insurance provider prior to your appointment.

Referral letters must be faxed, emailed or posted to Euromedic Charlemont. One of our appointment centre team will call you to arrange an appointment once we have received your referral letter.
